HomeVet is known for veterinary visits at home, but we also offer selected operations. Surgery needs clinic facilities, so procedures listed here are carried out at a partner clinic. Procedures we offer

Castration and sterilisation

Our published services include castration of male cats and dogs, sterilisation of female cats and dogs, and castration or sterilisation of rabbits and guinea pigs. The right choice and timing depend on the animal; discuss them with a veterinarian rather than relying on a general rule.

Dental treatment

Dental treatment is available on request. Tell us about your pet's symptoms and we can advise on the appropriate assessment and provide pricing information.

Soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgery

These procedures are listed on our services page with prices on request. Availability and suitability depend on your pet's condition and the facilities required. Please contact us with the details so we can advise on the next step.

How to ask about surgery

1. Contact HomeVet. Tell us your pet's species, age, concern and the procedure you are considering. Let us know if another veterinarian has already examined your pet.
2. Discuss the options. A veterinarian will advise whether an assessment or further information is needed and explain the available clinic-based pathway.
3. Receive the details. We will clarify the clinic arrangements, price or quotation, and any instructions that apply to your individual pet.

Surgery prices and what is included

Our current Services and Prices page lists prices for routine castration and sterilisation. Surgery prices include anaesthesia. A collar or bodysuit and additional medication, when needed, are not included. No home-visit charge applies to operations at the partner clinic. Dental, soft-tissue and orthopaedic prices are available on request. The pricing page is the source for current figures.

We can explain the listed price or provide a quotation for procedures priced on request. Any additional medication or recovery clothing, if needed, will be discussed separately.

Is surgery available for rabbits and guinea pigs?
